Forum Title: Window replacement
I was hoping someone could clear up some confusion I'm having about replacing my old aluminum windows with vinyl. I'm going to use new construction windows so I'll be taking off the trim and cutting about 1 inch of siding around the existing window. Once the window is out is where I'm a little confused. I've purchased blue skin already to rim the window frame. Do I tar paper the whole thing then blue skin? Or do I take off the tar paper and blue skin directly to the wood? If that's the case how do I mate the tar paper and blue skin? Thanks!
